Jesse McCue is a generational builder who has been in the industry for over 25 years. His career in construction began early, sweeping up job sites and laboring for his family’s construction firm but quickly progressed into becoming the youngest Project Manager for a prominent LA-based luxury home builder by the age of 24.
As a UCSB graduate and a member of the Santa Barbara Contractors Association for over 10 years Jesse is familiar with Santa Barbara and the surrounding Santa Ynez Valley. He began Santa Barbara Construction in 2010 and over the past decade has earned the respect of the industry with his creative design ideas and passion for building.
After turning his focus to high end residential estates and commercial developments, he has established a loyal sub base and has completed some of the most spectacular projects in Santa Barbara, Montecito, and Malibu County. Along with these projects Jesse has developed multiple contacts within both the City and County of Santa Barbara and is an expert at navigating the permitting process as well as the many building codes and regulations Santa Barbara passes each year.
Jesse has 2 young children that he enjoys spending the majority of his free time with but also loves getting outdoors to surf, hike, play beach volleyball and experience all of the many activities a healthy Santa Barbara lifestyle has to offer.
JAMES BARRETT | VP, Operations Manager
James Barrett has been building exquisite custom homes in California for more than 40 years. Beginning in
Lake Tahoe constructing log cabins in the early 1970’s, he progressed rapidly into owning a successful finish carpentry firm.
His experience and passion is apparent in his ability to personalize the building process and easily relate to our clients as well as build a 3D drawing of the plans in his head. This unique ability allows him to not only build a superior product but also foresee any potential roadblocks in the design which streamlines the building process and saves clients cost.
As Operations Manager and Vice President of Santa Barbara Construction, James is an integral part of all our projects and corresponds daily with our staff. With his keen eye for detail and finish carpentry talent, he is able to deliver a custom home that far exceeds the clients expectations and truly build what both architect and designer have envisioned.
